Travel information
The ancient city of Saepinum is located at "Località Altilia" a couple of chilometers from the modern Sepino town in the Molise region of Italy.
You can access the remains coming from the SS87 road, but the entrance is badly indicated with a rusty yellow sign just few meters before the small "stop area", this is a secondary entrance (you will enter from the Porta Tàmmaro) and the parking place is private and not free.

The main entrance (Porta Terravecchia) with free parking and a small refreshment facility is accessible starting from Sepino town and following the "Area Archeologica di Altilia" signs for 3-4 chilometers (GPS coordinates  E14.61675  N41.4322667).

The entrance to the site is free, but a small fee must be paid for the museum.
The walk-through guide for GPS devices can be downloaded
here.
